Marinos weathered a difficult opening 10 minutes of Gamba pressure before the game settled into a more even but not wildly interesting first half. Marinos looked to be either conserving energy or bereft of ideas.
The second half was more interesting, with a number of incidents. Gamba hit the bar with an Endo free kick and as well as the post from open play. Expert tumbler Nakazawa earned a PK after Gamba's Nakazawa had pulled several times on his shirt in the area, but Kazuma's effort diribbled wide.
The match reached extra time at 0-0 and looked all over when stand out Marinos performer Ono's pass after some nice footwork set overlapping Amano through to thump home with the keeper only able to palm into his own net.

Ono was terrorizing the Gamba defenders when he got the chance, very exciting prospect. Only fitting he set up Amano for the winner.
Suprised to see so many old first teamers on the the bench, but at least Yamase came on as a sub.
