Yokohama F.Marinos failed to restart their season campaign they way they had hoped to as Hiroshima took all 3 points in a concise victory over the visitors.
A pair of goals in the 37th minute and 39th minute courtesy of Nakajima and Sato proved to be the decisive lead that Hiroshima needed as Yokohama found themselves unable to bring themselves into the game. A 60th minute goal from Koji Morisaki was to become the final blow to the visitors as all hope of achieving a draw became a nigh-on impossibility.
Despite the defeat, Yokohama were able to take away one positive in the form of seeing new up coming talent, Ono Yuji, make his first professional appearance after graduating from the youth side. Ono showed great promise and movement on the ball and almost set up Watanabe Kazuma for a late goal.
The defeat sees Yokohama slip to 9th in the league standings as they prepare to take on an in-form Gamba Osaka on Saturday at Nissan stadium.
